This trackpad is a definitive must have, if you’re confused between the Magic Mouse and this trackpad, buy this with your eyes closed. The trackpad opens up a lot of functionality thanks to it’s gestures. It definitely makes tasks on the Mac much easier than a mouse would do. If you’ve used One of the newer Macbooks, you’d know what I’m talking about. Battery lasts easily for more than a month and only takes a couple minutes to charge.Don’t buy this if you use your Mac only for media consumption. You’d only find it useful while working with numerous tabs and desktops.I’m using this with a MB Pro in clamshell mode and this stays connected to my laptop 24/7 on standby mode. Takes it a few seconds to wake my laptop up with a click. Also, it has the same height levels and design as the magic keyboard so, if you’re going to pair them up, it’s going to look seamless. If you need a mouse for your mac, buy this with your eyes closed. It’s totally worth it.Buying on Amazon is better because of the price, i got it for 9,430 in Prime Day sales. Otherwise buying from an Apple store would cost me 11,900.My only problem? Serial No. not mentioned on the invoice and after numerous tries I have given up. Amazon is not at all helpful in updating serial no.’s on Invoices. 1 star less because of this

Pros:Big size makes it even more comfortable than the trackpad on Macbook. It just works – always – no connection issues.Exactly of the same height, angle and width as the Magic Keyboard – they look good together!Cons:I feel it is slightly less sensitive than the trackpad on macbook.Battery backup could have been better: I have Magic keyboard too and this is how the backups compare (Maybe because trackpad is used more than the keyboard):Keyboard and Trackpad were charged full once (about a month ago I guess) and this is where they stand today:Keyboard: 75% chargeTrackpad: Already charged fully once more after full discharge and now at 66%

My first track pad was in 2014 this is my 3rd track pad.The 1st two pad had a bauble of rubber at the back. Which annoyingly used to slip out and we had to reinsert it using a safety pin. (Pic attached ref from google)But now they have rectified this and it works perfectly fine. Its sleeker, a bit broader. Theo KY con is it’s quite expensive but which apple product is not. After using trackpad you wouldn’t want the Magic Mouse. Pad is quite handy. So if you don’t mind the price. It’s a good buy. If kept safely this comes for a long time.

Now I regret buying a magic mouse 2. I am a product designer and this trackpad is wonderful for my mac laptop, the surface area is really good and very sensitive and can be managed in system preference. All the gestures are almost the same as your laptop touchpad but this is external. This will be useful if you’re having an external keyboard along with the trackpad. As always I am impressed with Apple’s sleek design and very intuative. Battery life is exceptionally good from previous generations. The price is pretty expensive but I got some 1k discount using my credit card. You won’t regret using this.

Not something upto the Apple standard. Sometimes there is delay and sometimes nothing happens..Edit: Changing rating from 3 to 1, performance is deteriorating day by day. Keeps getting disconnected.

Just what I needed. Can never go back to a mouse after using this. Requires some time to master it, but then it’s a smooth run.First recharge done after 40 days and there was still 7% charge remaining at the time of recharge.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Amazing Product, Magical. Force Touch is very good, the Taptic feedback is next to none. Yes it is expensive, but its currently the best trackpad

Until recently I was using the previous generation of the Apple Trackpad for a number of years, and I am very impressed with this new version.I see a lot of people complaining about the expense but it’s Apple, what do you expect? Seriously, how often have you bought an Apple product and thought “This is very reasonably priced”, it’s not the standard reaction and they’re not going to change so we just should accept that and move on…It’s by no means a revolutionary innovation but this has the previous version completely beat; the profile, the integrated battery (and impressive battery life), and the excellent configurability – it’s really great – I love that you can turn the clicking on/off, when clicking is “off” it makes very little noise and is perfect in an office environment.I’ve since bought a few more of these to replace older versions we still had around the office, they are well worth it, even if just for the integrated battery – it’s a convenience that alone is worth the money.

Perfect replacement for the old fashioned mouse and aesthetically pleasing! It’s Apple, very rarely do they ‘get it wrong’ and they certainly didn’t with this product. Clean, smart and simple – probably why Apple are so successful.Yes it expensive, but so is the £1200+ iPhone I’m using to write this review! If you’re in the Apple ecosystem the high prices seem to become the norm, but with that come high expectations…I’m pleased with my purchase and would recommend to other Mac users.

I am baffled by the negative reviews about this Trackpad, as I have found it works perfectly with my iMac running High Sierra. No problems setting it up, and it has some functionality that the (much) older battery-operated Trackpads do not have. It looks neat, and the lower angle of operation than the older style Trackpad is fine – it takes a bit of getting used to, that’s all. My iMac is 3 years old, but with the latest software updates (10.13.2) all the options on the Trackpad work very well. Specifically, besides the Force Touch there are more multi-touch ‘gestures’ available than you get with the older model, though if you already have that older-style Trackpad it is arguable that the purchase does not offer a sufficiently improved experience for the price.

If your Macbook hasn’t got the newer force touch trackpad you will love this. Those of you with the ‘clicky’ track pad will know that it’s a pain to move your finger further down to be able to click easier. And it’s BIG. Lots of surface area to swipe your fingers. The only niggle is the price.. Personally I think it’s a tad expensive but I don’t regret the purchase. I’ll still use it when I get the newer Mac because it’s nice to put beside the mac rather than below.
